About the Role

<h2>Lab In-Charge</h2><p>The Lab In-Charge will be responsible for managing laboratory operations, equipment lifecycle, safety compliance, and infrastructure. This role ensures the efficient functioning of lab environments, adherence to EHS standards, and timely coordination with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams. The position requires strong operational oversight, technical expertise, and cross-functional coordination. This is a 100% onsite role and requires full-time presence in the laboratory to support operations, equipment management, and safety-critical activities.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Manage and maintain the LSRD asset list and master equipment database.</li><li>Oversee installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair of laboratory instruments.</li><li>Schedule and track Preventive Maintenance (PM) and AMC activities as per defined timelines.</li><li>Maintain calibration records and ensure completeness and accuracy.</li><li>Maintain equipment logs where required.</li><li>Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with vendors/service engineers.</li><li>Support calibration upgrades, including shipment and receipt of equipment.</li><li>Coordinate with vendors for services, procurement, and maintenance activities.</li><li>Manage purchase orders (POs), track invoices, and follow up for closure.</li><li>Raise gate pass requests for equipment movement where required.</li><li>Coordinate sending equipment to the warehouse and retrieval when needed.</li><li>Lead lab infrastructure modifications, additions, and maintenance activities.</li><li>Manage critical utilities such as compressors, gas banks, and LN2 systems.</li><li>Ensure EHS compliance across all laboratories.</li><li>Maintain MOCs, SOPs, risk assessments, heat maps, and compliance documentation.</li><li>Drive closure of GenSuite actions in a timely manner.</li><li>Act as the Work Permit Issuing Authority for lab-related activities.</li><li>Maintain documentation related to safety compliance, waste management, and inspections.</li><li>Participate in and support lab audits.</li><li>Drive activities to ensure zero Non-Conformances (NCs) in audits.</li><li>Manage end-to-end calibration processes and documentation.</li><li>Coordinate with SMEs to ensure calibration accuracy and completeness.</li><li>Lead and participate in Kaizen activities to improve calibration methodologies.</li><li>Identify gaps and implement corrective actions.</li><li>Supervise and guide lab technicians.</li><li>Manage lab tools and allocate lab space to projects within the lab.</li><li>Take ownership of select Quality Events (QEs) related to lab equipment and ensure timely closure.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, or a related field.</li><li>Relevant experience in laboratory operations, equipment management, or facility management.</li><li>Strong understanding of laboratory equipment and maintenance practices.</li><li>Knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance frameworks.</li><li>Vendor management and coordination skills.</li><li>Strong organizational and documentation capabilities.</li><li>Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.</li><li>Leadership and team management skills.</li></ul><h3>Work Arrangements</h3><ul><li>100% onsite (laboratory-based role).</li><li>Requires daily presence in the lab to manage equipment, ensure safety compliance, and support operational needs.</li></ul>
