About the Role
<h2>Senior Electrical Engineer (Productivity)</h2><p>We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled <strong>Senior Electrical Engineer (Productivity)</strong> to join our Commercial Fire Engineering Productivity team in <strong>Hyderabad</strong>. This team collaborates with various R&D centers to identify, validate, and implement Material Productivity projects across all Commercial Fire business units. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building the project pipeline, executing selected projects, mentoring junior team members, and supporting R&D teams with their productivity project efforts.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Lead end-to-end embedded hardware system architecture and design.</li><li>Serve as the technical authority for hardware decisions, trade-offs, and risk management.</li><li>Conduct architecture reviews, design reviews, and failure analysis sessions.</li><li>Design and review schematic designs (MCUs, power, analog/digital circuits).</li><li>Design high-speed interfaces (Ethernet, USB, LVDS, MIPI, DDR).</li><li>Manage power management and low-power designs < 200W.</li><li>Oversee PCB design, layout constraints, stackups, and signal integrity.</li><li>Collaborate with PCB layout, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.</li><li>Support board bring-up, debugging, and validation.</li><li>Work closely with firmware, software, and systems engineering teams.</li><li>Define hardware-software interfaces and system requirements.</li><li>Define and execute hardware test plans and validation strategies.</li><li>Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards: EMI/EMC, safety, environmental (CE, FCC, UL, RoHS).</li><li>Lead root cause analysis, design corrections, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Engage with suppliers, component vendors, and contract manufacturers.</li><li>Handle BOM optimization, obsolescence management, and cost reduction.</li><li>Investigate the impact of proposed alternate sources for electronic components.</li><li>Contribute technical insight towards DFMEA analysis of new and existing electrical designs.</li><li>Perform advanced circuit analysis, validation, and optimization using simulation tools like PSpice.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Professional experience with a BS in Electrical Engineering, or 8+ years with an MS in Electrical Engineering.</li><li>Proven expertise in analog and digital circuit design.</li><li>Power supply design experience.</li><li>Extensive experience in embedded system architecture and development.</li><li>Strong understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and signal integrity principles.</li><li>Ability and willingness to travel overseas to support Productivity events and project implementation (including, but not limited to: China, Mexico, Poland, Netherlands, Spain, and India).</li><li>Ability to mentor and train junior engineers.</li></ul><h3>Work Arrangements</h3><ul><li>Type: Contract</li><li>Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India</li><li>Travel: Ability to travel overseas as required.</li></ul>
